(Construction) - On March 24, Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi led a delegation of the Ministry of Construction to visit and work in Quang Ninh province on the implementation of state management of the construction in Quang Ninh province and major orientations in its planning.

Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi expressed his delight at the strong and fast development of Quang Ninh province in recent years. Despite difficulties of the epidemic, Quang Ninh still maintains a high growth rate compared to the whole country. Especially, urban and infrastructure development have had great changes.
In the field of construction, Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi requested Quang Ninh province should continue to improve the quality of elaboration, appraisal and approval of plans according to its competence. In the immediate future, appropriate resources should be devoted to adjust the general planning of Ha Long city. With the current urban system, Quang Ninh province should study underground space plans and underground works to effectively exploit development spaces.

For the provincial planning period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, the Minister requested Quang Ninh province to re-evaluate the existing situation to implement strategic plans approved by the province in order to orient and develop accordingly. In the spatial development orientation of the region, it is necessary to clearly explain the connectivity, advantages and disadvantages in the formation of 3 sub-regions, carefully review the population growth. Urban and rural system planning should be reviewed and oriented for urban development and economy to create driving force and development breakthrough for the province.
Quang Ninh province should continue to receive comments to complete the province's planning for the period of 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, ensuring the quality and submitting to the Prime Minister for approval on schedule.

On the same day, Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi and the delegation attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the housing project for workers and experts in Dong Mai Industrial Park; visited the factory of Foxconn Group in Dong Mai Industrial Park, Thanh Cong Viet Hung auto auxiliary industry complex in Viet Hung Industrial Park and Love bridge.
