Additionally, Bac Giang province was requested to accelerate the progress of the waste-to-energy plant investment project, pay attention to constructing sustainable drainage systems in industrial zones and clusters to ensure the urban environmental landscape; and address cemetery planning and relocation issues...
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Le Anh Duong, clarified to the Working Group several matters related to the planning of Bac Giang province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. Based on the Working Group's feedback, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province will review and address the gaps, promptly update and complete the documentation to submit for approval by the relevant authorities soon.
In conclusion, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van highlighted the importance of urban expansion in Bac Giang province at this time. He stressed that space for development must be created in the arrangement of administrative units, to ensure the overall developmental momentum of the urban area. During the project preparation process, Bac Giang province should conduct a thorough assessment of urban development; review indicators and criteria for urban regulations to add and ensure the legal framework...
Furthermore, the province should promptly review and update criteria that are still below regulations, standardize data in the Project, and submit it to the Ministry of Construction for review and decision-making on assessing the infrastructure development level of the areas slated to establish a ward in Bac Giang urban area. This will serve as a basis for organizing voter consultations on the project to merge the administrative boundaries of Yen Dung district with Bac Giang city, rearrange commune-level administrative units, and establish wards within Bac Giang city in the near future.
