(Construction) - On December 4, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyễn Việt Hùng chaired a conference to appraise the report on reviewing the criteria for Cao Lãnh City classification as a type II urban area. This includes plans to expand the inner-city area and assess the level of infrastructure development in the area proposed for ward establishment within Cao Lãnh City, Đồng Tháp Province.
The Appraisal Council largely agreed with the evaluation of both reports, confirming their compliance with legal frameworks, alignment with general urban and zoning plans, and adherence to urban classification standards. These reports also align with requirements for administrative urban area arrangement at the district and commune levels for the 2023–2025 period as stipulated by regulations. However, council members provided additional feedback to refine and enhance the reports further.
On behalf of the local government, Trần Ngô Minh Tuấn, Director of the Department of Construction of Đồng Tháp Province, acknowledged the Appraisal Council feedback and committed to revising and finalizing the reports accordingly.
