(Construction) - On April 1, Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi had a meeting session with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Vietnam, Mr. Juan Carlos
During the meeting, the Minister emphasized Vietnam's ongoing commitment to cooperation with Venezuela and expressed interest in exporting high-quality construction materials, such as tiles and sanitary ceramics, to the Venezuelan market. He noted that Viglacera Corporation - JSC has successfully exported products to markets in 40 countries, including Europe and the United States, and had recently organized a business investment promotion delegation in Venezuela.

The Minister expressed hope that the Venezuelan side would facilitate conditions for Viglacera and Vietnamese businesses to enhance cooperation, exchange experiences, and sign additional cooperation agreements, thus contributing to the development of both economies.
Expressing gratitude to Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi for the warm welcome, Ambassador Juan Carlos Fernandes Juarez highlighted that in recent years, Venezuela and Vietnam had signed over 60 cooperation agreements. These agreements serve as crucial foundations for further enhancing bilateral relations and fostering continuous development between the two countries.
The Ambassador mentioned that Venezuela had recently focused on constructing over 4 million social houses as part of its efforts to support its people, with the forthcoming objective being the construction of 5 million more. He noted that achieving this goal had been facilitated by support from countries like Turkey and Russia.
Expressing hope for the Ministry of Construction to foster cooperation and bolster the collaborative relationship between Vietnam and Venezuela, the Ambassador emphasized the importance of advancing particularly in the construction sector. He further expressed optimism that both nations would continue to strengthen their cooperative ties, enhance mutual learning experiences, and further develop collaboration across all sectors, with a special emphasis on construction.
In addition, the Minister highlighted that the Government and the Prime Minister of Vietnam had recently placed significant emphasis on directing and advancing the development of social housing in the country. The Minister expressed hope for Venezuela to enhance cooperation by exchanging information and sharing state management experiences in construction investment, urban development, housing, and construction materials between the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam and the Residential and Housing Ministry of Venezuela.
