Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has just signed Decision No. 154/QD-TTg on establishing the appraisal council for appraisal of regional planning tasks in the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.
The appraisal council is chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung. The members include leaders of ministries and ministerial-level agencies including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Police, Government Office, Planning and Investment, Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Construction, Home Affairs and some others. Also it includes the number of planning experts who are knowledgeable about the conditions of the region are considered and selected by the Council President.
The appraisal council operates under the Government's Decree No. 37/2019 / ND-CP of May 7, 2019, detailing a number of articles of the Planning Law and dissolving after complete mission. The standing body of the appraisal council is the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
The Council's operation funds are approved by competent authorities in accordance with the law on plannings, the law on public investment and the law on the State budget. The Decision takes effect from the date of signing and issuing January 22, 2020.
