(Construction) - On May 10, Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi led a government delegation to work with leaders from three provinces: Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and Tien Giang, discussing production and business situations, public investment, infrastructure construction, and import-export activities in the region.

During the session, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi affirmed that many recommendations from the aforementioned provinces had been forwarded by the Working Group to the Government and relevant ministries and agencies. Numerous issues regarding difficulties and obstacles in socio-economic development have been promptly addressed.
Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi assessed the timely reception of recommendations concerning difficulties and obstacles in the socio-economic development processes of localities. He acknowledged the spirit of urgency and seriousness demonstrated by the Working Group in handling and resolving these issues, which has actively contributed to the successful implementation of socio-economic development plan goals in the three provinces in 2023 and the first four months of 2024.
During the conference, representatives of local leaders briefed the delegation on some noteworthy aspects of the production and business environment, public investment, infrastructure construction, and import-export activities in the region during the first months of 2024. They also highlighted difficulties and problems related to planning, investment, construction, and urban development. Additionally, representatives from ministries, branches, and functional agencies of the Ministry of Construction responded to several recommendations from the three localities according to their respective authorities.
Concluding the meeting, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi highlighted the recent socio-economic development outcomes of Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and Tien Giang provinces, particularly noting significant progress in the real estate market in these areas. Additionally, the Minister raised some challenges faced by the localities, including difficulties in disbursing public investment capital, the state of production and business, and the clearance of sites for key national projects.
Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi underscored the ministry's commitment to continuing coordination with localities in forwarding recommendations and proposals to the Government, ministries, and branches for prompt resolution of these issues. He urged members of the delegation from ministries and branches to thoroughly review and promptly address the concerns raised by the localities, ensuring centralized responses to prevent redundant inquiries and unnecessary delays. Furthermore, he emphasized the urgency of addressing outstanding proposals that remained unanswered from previous conferences.
