On the occasion of the end of Mr. Christoph Klinnert's term of office in Vietnam, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van, on behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Construction, wished him good health and expressed hope that he would always retain fond feelings for Vietnam in general and the Ministry of Construction in particular. The Deputy Minister also hoped that Mr. Klinnert would continue to maintain his connection with the Ministry of Construction to foster the traditional friendship between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany, promoting comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

In his response speech at the ceremony, Mr. Christoph Klinnert expressed his honor and emotion upon receiving the Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Construction. He thanked the leaders of the Ministry of Construction and the supporting units that helped him successfully complete his tasks during his term in Vietnam.

Mr. Klinnert noted that the cooperation between Vietnam and Germany, particularly between GIZ and the Ministry of Construction, has spanned many years and numerous projects in areas such as drainage, flood control, and wastewater treatment, not just the "Adapting to Climate Change in the Mekong Delta" project. He hoped that the results achieved over the past five years would provide a solid foundation for continued cooperation between the two sides in the future.
