Although Vietnam does not have mandatory regulations applicable to green buildings, the green building development is carried out in a voluntary and encouraged forms. Therefore, over the past 15 years, there have been about 300 green buildings nationwide with a total area of about 7.2 million m2 of construction floor. Ho Chi Minh City alone is the leading urban area in the country in the number of green buildings (67 projects) and ranks 2nd in construction floor area certified for green buildings with a total area of nearly 1.3 million m2.
Vietnam Green Building Week 2023 includes a series of conferences, seminars, discussions, capacity building training courses, and student green architecture competitions that will be held in many localities across the country.
This is a large and prestigious event held annually. This year's event attracted more than 1,000 delegates to participate in seminars and exhibitions in fields such as design consultancy, architecture, real estate, materials, equipment, technology, electromechanical products, green/smart/energy-saving/ low-emission interior products.
In parallel with the conference programs, the Vietnam Green Building Week 2023 Exhibition will also bring together many equipment technology suppliers, construction material manufacturers, products used in construction, investors, businesses, real estate project developers, urban developers, and housing units leading in the trend of energy saving, environmental friendliness, green building development, aiming for low emissions and carbon neutral such as: Panasonic, Daikin, Sika, Saint Gobain, Capital House...
In addition to the main activities, within the framework of the event there are also side activities such as: Discussions to exchange policies, solutions to promote green building development, seminars, in-depth training courses, programs of field visits, press awards for typical press works on green buildings, student green architecture competitions.
