(Construction) - On October 27, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, Vietnam - Algeria Friendship Association, Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Algeria and the People in Vietnam jointly organized the the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relation between Vietnam and Algeria.

At the event, Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung and Mr. Abdelhamid Boubazine - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of Algeria and the People in Vietnam reviewed the 60-year tradition of Vietnam - Algeria diplomatic relation. Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung highlighted that Algeria has always been a reliable, committed and loyal friend, actively supported Vietnam to overcome difficult and challenge times.
Mr. Le Quang Hung and Abdelhamid Boubazine jointly affirmed: Over 60 years, the traditional cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Algeria has been constantly preserved and developed, achieved many positive results in many fields. The reliable political-diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and Algeria was promoted through maintaining exchange of delegations at all levels, the Party, State, National Assembly channels, mechanisms such as the Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee, political consultation between the two foreign ministries...
The two sides have signed and effectively implemented cooperation agreements in fields including trade, education, media, information, justice, etc. Parliamentary cooperation was also promoted when the National Assembly of the two countries established the Vietnam - Algeria Bilateral Friendship Parliamentary Group.
The two leaders believed: With a long history of good traditional friendship as well as the wishes of the leaders and people of the two countries, the friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Algeria would continue to grow up, strengthen for the sake of peace and common interests of the two nations.
