(Construction) - On November 22, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van chaired a conference to appraise the Thua Thien - Hue Urban Master Planning until 2045, with a vision to 2065.
In contribution of ideas to the Thua Thien - Hue Urban Master Planning until 2045, the Appraisal Council members agreed that the project was elaborately and detailed, ensuring the requirements according to the provisions of the law and acquired the written comments from the Government Office, Ministries, branches and Associations. However, the locality and consulting unit should pay attention to editing some important points to better complete the Planning before submitting it to the Prime Minister for approval.
On behalf of the local government, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province, acquired the comments from the Appraisal Council and explained a number of important issues such as urban model and name of the new urban area…

In conclusion of the Conference, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van assessed that the project was methodically implemented with high quality. The Planning of Thua Thien - Hue urban area to 2045, vision to 2065 has met the approved planning tasks; inherit and promote existing heritage values; At the same time, determine the urban design framework, spatial orientation, landscape, compliance with land criteria, technical infrastructure... towards the roadmap to be recognized as the centrally run-city by 2025.
However, the Deputy Minister requested the locality and consulting unit to pay attention to some important issues such as review the legal basis, ensure it meets national, regional, provincial and sectoral plans, and inherits existing planning contents. The new planning should clearly define the viewpoints, principles, vision and goals identified in the Resolutions of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee and the Government. The locality and consulting unit should review population and land forecasts; clarify spatial development orientations, supplement development targets for partitions; supplement the land and population targets for rural areas.
The Deputy Minister also emphasized the importance of urban administrative orientation; clarify resources, implementation plans for priority investment projects and review the data, maps, drawings and unify documents, especially the draft Decision to send to the Prime Minister.
