(Construction) – On April 24, the Ministry of Construction held a regular press conference in the first quarter of 2023. Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh chaired the press conference.
At the press conference, Chief of General Office of the Ministry of Construction Dau Minh Thanh informed the report summarized the performance of tasks in the first 3 months of the year, orientations and key tasks of the second quarter and the last months of 2023.

The construction industry has achieved some positive results in 2022 and in 2023, it still faces many internal difficulties and challenges such as low growth rate, lower labor productivity than compared to the previous year; many economic sectors, production and business activities of construction enterprises tend to decline; the outstanding difficulties accumulated over many years in the fields of the industry are increasingly difficult to solve due to the general impacts from the domestic and foreign economies.
Besides, the Ministry also actively implements the key tasks of the construction industry such as: Completing legal institutions on construction; planning and architecture management; urban development management and technical infrastructure; housing management and real estate market; construction management; construction material management; the plan for public investment with the State budget capital; inspection of complaints and denunciations and prevention and combat of corruption.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh emphasized that the press agencies have accompanied the Ministry of Construction during the past time, especially in propaganda and dissemination of issues related to the field of construction sector. The Ministry of Construction has basically completed the tasks assigned by the Government and the Prime Minister, especially in institutional improvement; Actively participated in the Government's program to promote socio-economic development and the program to review and remove obstacles in the field of real estate and investment; reviewed and removed difficulties related to the Laws, including the Law on Real Estate Business, the Law on Housing... and other fields.
In addition, the Ministry has also publicly announced the information about the real estate market in the first quarter of 2023. The current market is still facing many difficulties and the limited supply. Facing these difficulties, the Government and the Prime Minister have taken many solutions to remove difficulties and promote market development in the coming time.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh noted that the Government working group to continue working with localities identify difficulties and problems and offer specific solutions for businesses. Localities are also actively participating in removing obstacles for the market and businesses.
