The forum aimed to provide multi-dimensional analysis and judgments, comprehensive assessment of infrastructure and economic development in the Mekong Delta region, contributing to finded solutions, creating driving force for infrastructure development, regional economic development and connection among the region and southern provinces. This Forum will contribute to the operating policies of the Government, Ministries, Departments and branches; in order to complete the construction of the infrastructure system, disbursement of public investment capital, and urban development planning; Creating a driving force for breakthrough economic development for the Mekong Delta in the new period.

Attending the Forum were participants from many Ministries, Departments and central branches; The leaders of the Mekong Delta provinces: People's Committee of Bac Lieu province; Long An Provincial People's Committee; People's Committee of Hau Giang province; People's Committee of Ben Tre Province; representatives of departments, boards and branches of provinces and cities; Representatives of associations and professional associations; construction and real estate enterprises in the region; Representatives of banks; National and international experts... The contribution of experts, scientists, managers, businesses and local leaders was to analyze perspectives on challenges knowledge, inadequacies in infrastructure and economic development of the Region; at the same time, synthesize solutions to promote infrastructure development, policy mechanisms, investment attraction, project legal transparency, etc. to create a driving force for breakthrough economic development for the Mekong Delta in the new phases.
Also many organizations accompanied by: Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade of Vietnam, Vietnam Oil and Gas Group and many other units...
Speaking at the Forum, Mr. Nguyen Tuong Van, Deputy Minister of Construction emphasized: “This is a very important forum to consult experts and managers to promote economic development of the Mekong Delta through promoting potential drivers from upgrading the regional technical infrastructure system and implementing the sustainable development goals of the Mekong Delta to adapt to change climate. On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Construction, I would like to warmly welcome the representatives of the agencies of the National Assembly, the Ministries, the Boards, the central branches, the representatives of the leaders of the provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region. and the whole experts, scientists, international organizations, professional associations and press agencies attended the Forum”
The forum raised challenges and inadequacies in economic development, in areas such as tourism, urban infrastructure, real estate, energy and transportation which were not commensurated with the inherent potentials of the region. The forum will also synthesize solutions from managers, experts, businesses... on promoting infrastructure development, mechanisms and policies, investment attraction, legal transparency of the project to create the driving force for economic development in the new period.
At the Forum, experts raised many problems, the current situation and difficulties, and proposed solutions to build infrastructure in the Mekong Delta for economic development. With the responsibility of the official media agency of the Ministry of Construction, the Construction Newspaper is the bridge to convey all the valuable opinions at the Forum to domestic and international media.
