(Construction) - On the morning of January 18, at the headquarter of the Ministry of Construction, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam Orlando Nicolas Hernandez Guillen.

At the meeting, Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi and Cuban Ambassador Orlando Nicolas Hernandez Guillen discussed about the activities of the Intergovernmental Committee and plans to organize the 41st Meeting of the Vietnam-Cuba Committee in the near future. The two sides agreed to focus on the preparations for organizing the 41st Meeting, including: to review and evaluate the achieved results; clarify existing issues and obstacles for mutual discussion; find appropriate solutions to further promote the effectiveness of cooperation, especially trade and investment cooperation.

The Cuban Ambassador also emphasized that recently, the Cuban Government has applied a number of solutions to overcome immediate difficulties for Vietnamese businesses investing in production and business in Cuba. In the coming time, the Cuban Government will continue to create more favorable conditions to attract more Vietnamese businesses to invest and do business in Cuba, especially investing in the field of food production. to meet Cuba's domestic needs and aim to partly export to markets in Latin America.

The two sides agreed to coordinate closely to prepare well for the organization of the 41st Meeting of the UBLCP in the near future.
