(Construction) - On February 28, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi led the Government Working Group to work with Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Tien Giang provinces on the situation of production and business, investment in construction, import-export; existing problems, difficulties, and proposed solutions to promote economic development in these localities.

After listening to the leaders of the provinces report on the socio-economic development situation in the first two months of 2024, as well as difficulties, obstacles, solutions to promote production and business, public investment, infrastructure construction and import-export, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi highly appreciated the positive results in all fields of the provinces in the past two months, despite facing many difficulties, but with the efforts and determination of the Party committees and governments of the three provinces.
Sharing the difficulties with the provinces under the responsibility of the Government Working Group, Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi affirmed that would accompany Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Tien Giang provinces in overcoming difficulties and obstacles so that these provinces can fulfill the tasks assigned by the Government.
The Minister also frankly stated: In 2023, Binh Duong province had 47 proposals, to which the Working Group responded to 42 proposals; Dong Nai had 42 out of 44 questions answered; Tien Giang had 22 out of 23 questions answered. However, the Working Group requested the evaluation of localities on the quality of the Working Group's answers. In cases where local questions had not been answered, some questions would require coordination between ministries and agencies, but the Working Group has not received opinions from the relevant ministries and agencies. In 2024, members of the Working Group should respond directly to the issues raised by the provinces.
Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi emphasized: “Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Tien Giang are provinces with many key transportation projects, so it is necessary to ensure quality, accelerate progress, pay attention to building resettlement areas, and secure sources of sand for construction of key projects. Regarding production and business activities and import-export, the three provinces need to focus on overcoming difficulties, supporting enterprises, and promoting investment promotion”.
