(Construction) - On May 30, at the 3rd session, the 15th National Assembly, the discussed meeting related to the implementation of policies and laws on planning work since Planning Law in effect, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi clarified a number of contents related to the field of state management of the construction industry.

Although there are still certain limitations, the planning system according to specialized laws on construction and urban areas since the Planning Law promulgated and come in effect, so far it has been deployed and implemented stably, basically without problems, more and more interested by sectors and localities. Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi noted that, since the promulgated Planning Law, the Ministry of Construction has focused on amending legal regulations so that consistent with other relevant legal regulations.
However, up to now, there are still a number of conflicting and overlapping regulations as reported by the Supervisory Delegation and as raised by other delegates, including on urban planning, construction planning, land use plans at district and commune levels have not been synchronized, unified and are no longer suitable with reality.
Regarding to these shortcomings, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi committed that, the Ministry will note and closely coordinate with other ministries and sectors to supplement the legal provisions on land, urban planning, construction as well as other legal documents to ensure its consistency in the coming time.
