(Construction) – On June 27, the Ministry of Construction held a conference to appraise the master plan for the construction of Ho Thac Ba National Tourist Area, Yen Bai province until 2040. Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van chaired th conference.
Basically, members of the Appraisal Council highly agreed with contents of the master plan for the construction of Ho Thac Ba National Tourist Area, Yen Bai province until 2040. However, the members also contributed some ideas to help the consultancy unit and the locality supplement.

On behalf of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Party Secretary Do Duc Duy said: Provincial and consultancy units will continue to study and clarify on the basis of suggested opinions of members of the Appraisal Council. Yen Bai province will actively coordinate with the consultant to complete the contents of the project, soon bringing Ho Thac Ba tourist area into the tourism center of the province.
Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van suggested that Yen Bai province need to supplement and complete the contents of the project. Accordingly, the province needs to better assess the development potential and strengths of Ho Thac Ba tourist area; Supplement the legal basis, especially items directly related plannings; evaluate the synchronization and agreement with the related planning; Update approved plans into the project.
At the same time, the province needs to determine the right boundary; review the current status of land, minerals and forest area; Ensure the legality of maps and data on the current status of land and forest use; Review forecasts of population size, land forecasts to come up with appropriate and accurate numbers. In addition, Yen Bai needs to specify the subdivisions, especially in terms of land, architecture, and the connecting traffic system of each subdivision; clear calculation and impact assessment on the content of land conversion, forest conversion, etc.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van requested the People's Committee of Yen Bai province to direct the consultancy unit to fully review the comments and suggestions of the stakeholders, Council members, soon complete the project documents for submission to the Prime Minister for approval.
