(Construction) - On the morning of January 11, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction held a conference to summarize the Party and government works in 2023 and set tasks for 2024. Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van had a speech at the Conference.

Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van praised the results that the city Construction industry has achieved in 2023. According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van, in the context of general difficulties of the economy, but the Construction industry of Ho Chi Minh City has overcome the challenges of achieving and exceeding all major goals and targets.
In addition, the Construction industry also completed a large number of legal documents of legal institutions on construction, continue to innovate and create a favorable and strongly decentralized environment for localities. In particular, the Ministry has presided over the drafting and approval of Housing Law No. 27/2023/QH15 and Real Estate Business Law No. 29/2023/QH15 with many innovative contents.
At the same time, the Ministry of Construction has also had basic and timely solutions to handle arising practical requirements that require state management to regulate and remove especially the stagnant situation of the real estate market leading to the decline of many other markets.
To implement the 2024 mission, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van noted that the Ho Chi Minh City Construction industry should pay attention to implementing industry management tasks and targets, closely following policies, orientations and directions of the Government, the Ministry of Construction and Ho Chi Minh City with specific action plans.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van hoped that the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction would continue to actively participate in research and contribute new opinions and ideas in the process of developing legal documents; give recommendations and propose institutionalization of practical issues in the area to meet current requirements for State management as well as socio-economic development of people and businesses.
