(Construction) - On April 27, at the administrative center of Di An city (Binh Duong province), Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van handed over the Prime Minister's Decision recognizing Di An as the grade II city directly under the province.

Recognizing the efforts of the Party Committee, authorities and people of Binh Duong province in general and Di An city in particular and the proposal of the Ministry of Construction, on March 27, 2023 Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decision 296/QD-TTg recognizing Di An as the grade II urban center directly under Binh Duong province.
On behalf of the Ministry of Construction, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van congratulated the people and authorities of Di An city and affirmed: With the achieved results, Di An city has been recognized by the Project Appraisal Council as the grade II city with 5/5 criteria and the total score of 91.22/100 points. This will be the driving force for Di An city to reach the criteria of a grade I city by 2025, worthy of being a satellite town of Binh Duong province and Ho Chi Minh City.
In addition, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van emphasized: “The upcoming development phase still faces many difficulties and challenges; Upholding the tradition of pride with important achievements, the Party Committee, authorities and people of Binh Duong province and Di An city should continue to thoroughly implement the spirit of Resolution No. 24/01/2022 of the Politburo on planning, construction, management and sustainable development of urban areas in Vietnam until 2030, with a vision to 2045.
At the ceremony, Mr. Vo Van Hong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Di An city shared: Since being recognized as the grade III urban area and recognized as the city, Di An has been constantly developing strongly with many investment projects. Since then, many urban areas have been formed, which have changed the face of the city in the direction of civilization - modernity. The roadmap builds the grade II city was the determination of the whole political system on the basis of promoting the revolutionary tradition of the heroic Di An homeland, continuing the path of protecting, building and developing the locality with best following our generations in the past.
The recognition of Di An as the grade II city directly under the province will create a new impetus for Di An to further promote its role as one of the province's economic keys, as a bright spot to attract domestic and foreign investment resources into the province.
