(Construction) - On April 12, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Construction held a conference to appraise the tasks adjusting the general construction planning of Hanoi capital to 2030, with a vision to 2050. Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van chaired the conference.
At the conference, the consultancy unit presented the main contents in the report explaining the tasks adjusting the general construction planning of Hanoi capital to 2030, with a vision to 2050.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van highly appreciated the presentation project. The Hanoi People's Committee studied carefully, consulted and submitted to the authorities. In order to further complete the contents, the Deputy Minister suggested that the city should point out the differences compared to the previous planning; the contents should be inherited for appropriate adjustments; the current situation should be clearly assessed to orient the adjustment. Accordingly, it is necessary to evaluate forecast criteria in planning, land, population, technical infrastructure, social infrastructure, urban structure model, migration orientation, urban system, project list investment project.
At the same time, the city should clearly state the new requirements set forth in the project; regularly update all legal bases; indicate the appropriate contents in the project; clarify the relationship and interaction of Hanoi with surrounding localities, neighboring regions and with the world; re-study the urban system, urban structure, urban development; the natural area should be updated according to data announced by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment…
Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van also proposed that the city should report to the Government the deadline for the general construction planning of Hanoi capital should be until 2045, with a vision to 2065. The city needs to clearly define the two timelines so that the consultancy unit performing more effectively. Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van requested the Hanoi People's Committee to direct the consultancy unit to fully gather the comments of the Council members, soon complete the project file to submit to the Prime Minister for approval.
