(Construction) - On April 15, at the Convention Center of Thanh Hoa city, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to announce the Thanh Hoa urban general plan to 2040. Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi attended and directed the conference.
At the conference, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Mai Xuan Liem announced Decision No. 259/QD-TTg, dated March 17, 2023 of the Prime Minister on approval of Thanh Hoa urban general plan to 2040.

Speaking at the conference, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi emphasized the important role and position of Thanh Hoa city for Thanh Hoa province and the North Central region; the gateway connecting the Northern key economic region with the North Central region, the focal point for exchanges of Thanh Hoa province with the whole country. The Minister proposed the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province to direct departments, agencies and People's Committee of Thanh Hoa city coordinating with relevant ministries and central agencies to soon issue regulations on planning management; organizing the implementation of the approved general planning of Thanh Hoa urban area, Thanh Hoa province by 2040 and related plannings and regulations to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi affirmed: The Ministry of Construction would continue to closely coordinate with relevant ministries and branches and the People's Committees of Thanh Hoa province and Thanh Hoa city in the process of implementing the Thanh Hoa urban general plan to create dynamics force for Thanh Hoa city in particular and Thanh Hoa province in general to develop sustainably.
