(Construction) - On May 20, at the Convention Center of Hai Phong city, the City People's Committee in collaboration with the Ministry of Construction held a conference to announce the adjustment of the general planning of Hai Phong city to 2040, with a vision to 2050 according to Decision No. 323/QD-TTg dated 30/3/2023 of the Prime Minister.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van highly appreciated the efforts of the whole political leaders of Hai Phong city with many agencies, organizations and experts in the planning process. With new general planning and new visions, new orientations, Hai Phong can open up many development opportunities for the city.
Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van also suggested that Hai Phong city and other departments, agencies and sectors coordinate with relevant ministries, departments and branches to soon organize the review and formulation of programs, regions and plans. The following factors should be managed such as urban development; organizing the elaboration and promulgation of the Regulation on management of architecture in Hai Phong city; Organizing the adjustment of the general construction planning of Dinh Vu - Cat Hai economic zone; Construction planning for Cat Ba national tourist area, Thuy Nguyen urban area and specialized technical infrastructure planning, underground space planning and subordinate plans in line with the general city planning; Developing a plan to implement the general planning in sync with the investment in technical and social infrastructure systems in urban areas.
