(Construction) - Recently, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van chaired a conference to appraise the General Planning of Chu urban area, Bac Giang province until 2045.
Contributing ideas and suggestions to the Chu Urban General Planning Project until 2045, members of the Appraisal Council agreed to evaluate the completed document ensured legal regulations and compled with the contents of the Tasks approved by the Prime Minister. However, representatives of ministries, branches, departments and associations suggested that the project should edit some points before submitting to the Prime Minister for approval.

On behalf of the local government, Mr. Le O Pich, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province, acquired the comments of the Appraisal Council and pledged to direct and coordinate with the consulting unit to quickly complete the planning project. In the coming time, Bac Giang province will focus to direct the implementation of key contents such as arranging administrative units, forming new Chu town and Luc Ngan district, identifying urban development resources; adjusting the new planning to be consistent with the approved provincial planning...
In conclusion of the Conference, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van requested the People's Committee of Bac Giang province and the consulting unit to review the legal basis, scopes, boundaries of planning and arrangement of administrative units. The Deputy Minister emphasized that the new planning should be consistent with higher level plans, especially the planning of Bac Giang province.
For new planning projects, the locality and consulting units should add the assessment of the current situation of type III of Chu urban area; supplement the current development situation compared to the goals of the old planning project.
The Deputy Minister also noted that the locality should consider the urban nature of Chu urban area and the agricultural urban model combined with tourism; Review land areas reserved for industrial and tourism development; Review the population and land forecasts in accordance with approved tasks and regulations and standards.
Some other important tasks should be clarified including the urban spatial development orientation; review of the urban technical infrastructure system and development resources; review of drawings, explanatory documents and draft Decision before submitting to the Prime Minister.
