(Construction) - On August 23, at the headquarter of the Ministry of Construction, Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi chaired a conference to appraise the task of adjusting the master plan of Da Lat city and its vicinity to 2030, with a vision look to 2050.

In order to comment to the task of overall adjustment of the master plan, members of the Appraisal Council have contributed many ideas close to reality, such as the task of clarifying urban characteristics, urban inheritance and heritage conservation.
Concluding the Appraisal Council conference, Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Chairman of the Appraisal Council, said “Da Lat city is a famous domestic and international city, developed in tourism, with unique landscape nature. Over the years, Da Lat city has been constantly developing. The planning is being effectively implemented by the city gradually and urban architecture has been formed”
Based on the comments of the Appraisal Council, the Minister suggested that Lam Dong province and Da Lat city should note and complete the task of adjusting the master plan in the spirit of sticking to the guidelines of the party and government. The Minister requested that, the task of adjusting the master plan must be reviewed, inherited, promoted its advantages; find ways to remove difficulties and obstacles; overcome the contents that are not suitable with reality to meet the needs of social development; review fire prevention and fighting, forest protection, etc...
At the same time, the current development status of Da Lat city and its vicinity should be evaluated; changes in population, land, planning criteria to ensure standards should be reviewed. The master plan should be adjusted to determine the spatial architectural model of urban development for functional areas, restricted development zones, preserved and new development zones... The urban core area must meet the infrastructure requirements; the direction of satellite urban development should be identified; valuable landscapes and cultural heritages should be protected; the architectural form of Da Lat should be clearly defined to arrange investment resources accordingly…
