(Construction) - At a meeting with Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee on February 22, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi emphasized that the province should focus on building social housing, especially labor housing.
Appreciating the positive results of Hai Duong Construction industry, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi however, requested the locality to pay attention to the quality of the architecture of central cities that suitable to the situation of each urban area, at the same time promote the cultural and historical values of Hai Duong province.
Receiving the Minister's comments, the Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee affirmed: "We will implement the provincial planning of inter-regional quality and good quality, not only apply the ring to divide the land".
Although highly appreciating the results achieved by Hai Duong province, the Minister of Construction suggested that the province should pay attention to some contents about the quality of urban planning. The province's urbanization rate of 32.8% is still low compared to the whole country. In addition, the locality also should focus on building social housing, especially housing for workers.

The Minister has directed the province to focus on allocating land fund for social housing development. In addition to the general preferential policies for social housing and worker housing, Hai Duong province should take care of the local responsibilities for removing difficulties.
In order to improve the quality of wastewater treatment in the locality, the Minister of Construction requested the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Hai Duong pay attention and guide the provincial units to prepare and approve the construction and upgrade roadmap, renovate and expand the common drainage network in existing urban centers and residential areas into a separate or semi-private drainage system.
