(Construction) - On September 17, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van chaired the Appraisal Conference of the general planning task of Le Thanh international border-gate economic zone, Gia Lai province until 2045.
At the conference, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van affirmed that the establishment of general construction planning of Le Thanh international border-gate economic zone is essential for a comprehensive and long-term development of the region. The Deputy Minister noted that the locality and the consulting unit should seriously absorb the comments of the Appraisal Council.
On that basis, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province should to review and supplement the legal basis, assess the development situation and update new data, especially the legal basis of economic boundery between Vietnam and Cambodia.

On the other hand, the Deputy Minister also requested the locality to clarify the dynamics of the border-gate economic zone for effective exploitation, avoiding repeated traces of collapsed economic zones of a large but ineffective economic zone. To do this, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province should carefully evaluate the role of Le Thanh border gate economic zone with the surrounding region, province and economic zones.
Finally, the Deputy Minister suggested the consulting unit and the locality soon complete the document of the tasks and the draft Decision to submit to the Prime Minister for approval.
