(Construction) - On August 9, at the Ministry of Construction, a meeting took place between Minister of Construction and the Vietnam Association of Construction Contractors (VACC) to solve its problems and difficulties.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hiep, Chairman of VACC raised the difficulties and obstacles that construction contractors having faced. In order for the operation of construction enterprises to be smooth, the VACC organized to protect the interests of enterprises, gathered the elites of the construction industry, the Ministry of Construction should support the construction contractors, at the same time the Ministry of Construction also should advise on the policies that suitable to the reality of the construction industry.
Responding to the issues raised by the VACC, Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi admited that Vietnamese contractors gained certain development steps with outstanding capacity, and rich experience in construction. The Minister suggested that the units in the Ministry should share with businesses, more specifically when working with the VACC – that was the actual voice in the process of formulation of policies, implemention of state management, increase of strengthened exchange and so on.
The Minister acknowledged that although there were regulations on coordination of the Ministry of Construction with the General Assembly, the Association have 6 fields and 3 fields of which the Association participated, but the Ministry had not implemented drastically and properly.
The Ministry of Construction will annually work with the General Associations and Association to make amendments and supplements to suit the actual situations. Recently, the Minister worked with the General Assembly, the Association of Architects and the VACC.
The Ministry of Construction and the VACC will have at least once a year working according to the regulations to listen and evaluate and solve problems in the development of laws, drafting committees and editing standards and norms.
