(Construction) - During the visit of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to Cuba, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi and Cuban First Deputy Minister of Construction Angel Vilaragot Montes de Oca met at the Sanvig Joint Venture Company in Santa Cruz.

Speaking at the meeting, First Deputy Minister of Construction of Cuba Angel Vilaragot Montes de Oca affirmed that Cuba facing difficulties due to the US embargo, which greatly affected economic development. Sanvig Company with the joint venture with Vietnam would help Cuba and Cuban people develop more economically.

Currently, the factory produces a lot of social products to help people and society, and bring foreign currency for the government. Sanvig Company is also the mainstay of the construction industry, greatly supporting the construction sector of Cuba. The Cuban side will create the best conditions for the factory to develop. With the help of our Vietnamese government, Cuba will try to make production so that improved lives of the people.
First Deputy Minister Angel Vilaragot Montes de Oca also wished that in addition to this project, there would be many other projects that the Ministry of Construction and Vietnamese construction enterprises would invest in in Cuba. The Deputy Minister emphasized: “Although Cuba still has many difficulties, we will try to overcome it. The advantages and disadvantages are opened. The most meaningful is the good affection between two governments and two nations”
Together with the Cuban Deputy Minister of Construction on a field trip to the factory, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi was very excited about the results achieved by the joint venture in recent times. Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi also hoped that the joint venture would continue to develop, promote and have a plan to expand production and business in phase 2. The Minister proposed the Cuban side to create favorable conditions to jointly solve difficulties for businesses, especially raw materials, electricity supply and transportation, as well as payment problems.
