(Construction) - On July 1st, in Hanoi, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi had a meeting and worked with World Bank (WB) Country Director in Vietnam Carolyn Turk.
At the meeting, Ms. Carolyn Turk emphasized the cooperation results achieved between the World Bank and the Ministry of Construction over the past time.
Regarding to the rapid urbanization process in Vietnam, Ms. Carolyn Turk noted that Vietnam needs to study and analyze specific current urban issues in order to implement the Resolution 06/NQ. -TW in the most effective way.

Ms. Carolyn Turk said that the WB was ready to support the Ministry of Construction in implemention of a consistent and holistic approach in urban development and hoped that in the coming time, the two sides would strengthen its cooperation to promote the development of Vietnamese cities. South, especially medium-sized cities effectively.
Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi expressed his gratitute to the WB over the years for its attention and assistance to the Ministry of Construction in effectively implementing the its management roles and functions, including urban development.
At the same time, the Minister highly appreciated the WB's overall approach to urban planning and development and noted that the two sides should coordinate with Vietnamese ministries and branches to agree on how to implement the urban development projects with the highest efficiency.
Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi assigned units of the Ministry to work with WB experts to unify the implementation process of ODA projects.
