(Construction) - The Ministry of Construction is drafting a Decree on the management of urban development and investment (amended) to replace the Government's Decree No. 11/2013 ND-CP on management of urban development investment.

At Resolution No. 83/2019/QH14 dated June 14, 2019 of the National Assembly on questioning activities at the 7th session, the XIV National Assembly in the construction field, the Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Construction to research, amend and supplement Decree No. 11/2013/ND-CP.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Construction proposed regulations on urban development programs in accordance with the Law on Planning 2017, Law on Construction in 2014 and inheritance with amendments and supplements specified in Circular No. 12/2014/TT- BXD; to annul Decree No. 42/2009/ND-CP.
Specifically, the Ministry will elaborate regulations on principles, content, order and competence to approve, adjust and organize the implementation of the national, provincial and urban development; urban development program for centrally-run cities and for urban centers planned to be newly formed; stipulating additional relevant contents between the urban development program and the medium-term public investment plan, the land use, the urban classification and urban administrative units.
In addition, the Ministry of Construction also proposed to detail the assigned contents in the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Construction Law regarding urban construction investment projects.
