(Construction) – Continuing the activities during the recent business trip to Europe, the delegation of the Ministry of Construction led by Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung had many effective meetings with international organizations.

Besides the 11th World Urban Forum, Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung also attended the Ministerial Roundtable of 30 countries. The conference outlined a series of measures and policies to manage and transform cities, towns and settlements towards sustainable urbans in the future, especially in the post-COVID-19 era.

The delegation had a meeting with Korean Land and Housing Corporation (LH)

In Poland, the delegation had a working session with UN-Habitat. Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung had an exchange with Mr. Rafael Tuts - Deputy Director of the United Nations Human Settlement Program (UN-Habitat).

The delegation worked with Deputy Mayor of Potsdam and Department of Urban Development, Construction, Economy and Environment

Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung proposed a number of topics to promote cooperation in order to solve urgent problems that Vietnam such as: rapid urbanization, integration of public space in urban design, urban development, smart city development and sustainable urban development in the context of severe climate.

Also in the working program, the delegation of the Ministry of Construction had a meeting and worked with the Korean Land and Housing Corporation (LH) under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Korea (MOLIT).

In Germany, the delegation of the Ministry of Construction had a working session with the German Development Cooperation Organization (GIZ) and the Potsdam City Authority to learn experience in urban management, green and sustainable urban development and other matters.

The delegation also worked with the Deputy Mayor of Potsdam city and the Department of Urban Development, Construction, Economy and Environment to conduct field surveys on technical infrastructure development, systems sustainable drainage.
