(Construction) - On September 7, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh chaired a conference to appraise planning components in the construction and urban development integrated into the national master plan.

At the beginning of the Conference, the representative of the National Institute of Urban and Rural Planning presented a summary report on the component "The current situation and development orientation of the national urban and rural system in the period of 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050". Also at the conference, a representative of the Institute of Building Materials presented a summary report of the planning component "The current situation and direction of exploration, exploitation, processing and use of minerals as national construction materials for the period of 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050".
At the conference, members of the appraisal council commented in 2 drafts of integrated planning components. In conclusion, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh affirmed that it was very important to integrate 2 planning components in the construction and urban development into the national master plan. Therefore, these plans must ensure consistency and prioritize the quality first.
The Deputy Minister requested the consulting unit to carefully review political and legal bases such as Decrees, Resolutions and planning tasks approved by the Prime Minister. Regarding the structure of the report, the consulting unit should supplement the assessment of the existing planning situation, the rural population, etc., thereby identifying limitations and proposing tasks to be performed in the coming time. In addition, the report should also supplement the content of international experience and implementation organizations.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh requested the consulting unit to seriously highlight the key comments and quickly complete the report and send it to the Development Strategy Institute for consideration as soon as possible.
