(Construction) – On June 11, the delegation of the National Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control led by Deputy Minister of Construction Le Quang Hung to inspect the work of disaster prevention and control on natural disaster prevention and rescue in Quang Ninh province.
Working with the Commanding Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defence of Quang Ninh Province, the delegation listened to the representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Quang Ninh to report on the works of disaster prevention and control.

The member units of the delegation discussed related issues. The delegation especially noted that the province needs to focus on regular proactive works of the forces. The commune-level disaster prevention and control team need to be focused and strengthened to handle the happened situations; landslide warning, storm shelter at sea and other issues.

The delegation noted that, especially in the field of construction and infrastructure development, a representative of the Quang Ninh Department of Construction said: Regarding technical infrastructure issues, trees, water drainage, etc., Quang Ninh province is very concentrated. The urban areas of Quang Ninh have all established common technical infrastructure according to the general planning projects. In each project, there is a technical infrastructure system planning attached to the document, on that basis, localities organized to implement and invest according to the roadmap, combined public investment and non-policy investment.
After the meeting, the delegation inspected the sites of Yen Lap Reservoir in Minh Thanh ward, Quang Yen town; Ha Nam dyke (Quang Yen town) and some locations at risk of landslides in the province.
