(Construction) - On July 6, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi chaired a conference to appraise the master plan project of Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province to 2040.
At the conference, members of the Appraisal Council highly appreciated and agreed with the content of the master plan project of Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province to 2040.

Council members also contributed some ideas to the locality and the consultancy unit to supplement the project such as a specific roadmap for site clearance in the industrial park; pay attention to the land fund for security and defense for security protection infrastructure; study the model of burning garbage to generate electricity; review the land use plan of the province, of Ha Long city.
On behalf of Quang Ninh province, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuong Van said: Quang Ninh province will accept the comments and criticisms of the members of the Appraisal Council and soon complete the content of the planning project.
Chairman Nguyen Tuong Van affirmed: Leaders of Quang Ninh province were very interested in planning work. The good planning will help Ha Long city as well as Quang Ninh province to develop strongly.
In conclusion of the Conference, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi said that the Appraisal Council basically agreed with the content of the project. The project has clarified the need for planning, relatively completed assessment of natural conditions, technical infrastructure, social infrastructure; identifid the nature, functions, vision, development forecast for Ha Long; economic and technical targets, strategic solutions, creating space for development and so on.
Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi suggested that the consultancy unit and the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province should fully consider the comments of the members of the Council, soon complete the document to send to the Ministry of Construction for consideration and submission to the Prime Minister for approval.
