(Construction) - On July 9, the delegation of Ministry of Construction led by Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung had a site survey to Ta Trach reservoir and worked with the leader of Thua Thien - Hue province, on the disaster prevention and rescue tasks.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung acknowledged and appreciated the work of disaster prevention and rescue task in the province. The plans are relatively synchronized, stick to practical requirements and effectively implemented. Deputy Minister of Construction requested the province continuing to disseminate and implement natural disaster prevention measures at the locality.
Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung directed that the province should review, inspect and verify the reservoir and dam safety before the rainy season; check the operation process to ensure safety for the downstream basin. At the same time, it should continue to construct natural disaster prevention works according to plans, review essential works so as to ensure the safest plans, especially for projects under construction in the rainy season.
The Deputy Minister suggested that the province should have specific proposals to the Central Steering Committee to integrate and prioritize the allocation of resources into natural disaster prevention and control programs.
