Cuban State awards Friendship Medal to former Minister of Construction Pham Hong Ha

(Construction) - On May 5, at the Embassy of Cuba (Hanoi), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam Orlando Hernandez Guillen presented the Friendship Medal from the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba to former Minister of Construction Pham Hong Ha.

Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Hernandez Guillen presented the Friendship Medal to former Minister Pham Hong Ha.

Speaking at the event, Ambassador Orlando Hernandez Guillen said: This noble title has special significance, awarded by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba from 2020, on the 60th anniversary of Vietnam - Cuba established diplomatic relations. The decision was announced in real time online within the framework of the 38th session of the UBLCP (December 2020). Due to the complicated influence of the Covid-19 pandemic, until now, the Medal has been officially awarded to former Minister Pham Hong Ha.

Ambassador Orlando Hernandez Guillen highly appreciated the efforts and contributions of former Minister Pham Hong Ha to strengthening economic and trade relations between the two countries.

Former Minister of Construction Pham Hong Ha expressed his thanks to the leaders of the Party, Government, ministries, branches and localities of the two countries, especially the leaders of the Ministry of Construction supported him to complete his tasks at the Vietnam - Cuba UBLCP.

He believed that Cuba would continue to overcome challenges and develop more and more; with the management of Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Chairman of the Vietnam Subcommittee in the Vietnam - Cuba UBLCP, the activities of the UBLCP will become more and more effective and substantive.
