(Construction) - That is the comment of the Minister of Construction Pham Hong Ha at the launching ceremony of the book "Building up and Governing smart cities" "Building up and Governing smart cities" to ensure security, social welfare and safety indicators in the context of of the 4th Industrial Revolution ” by Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh in November 14, 2019 at the Ministry of Construction.

In the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution and in the trend of developing city models for human society, building up and governing smart cities is the inevitable development trend. Building up and governing smart cities to ensure security, social welfare and safety indicators in the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution as a tool and mean to achieve the sustainable development goals.
Speaking at the book launching ceremony, Minister of Construction Pham Hong Ha said that the book has a great meaning for the future development of smart cities. The population growth rate and urban development of the country is on the rise, so Vietnam's urban areas are accounting for a dominant proportion in economic development. Vietnam's cities and the world are facing great challenges, therefore in order to escape, confront and overcome challenges, we must have smart solutions".

According to Mr. Nguyen Tuong Van, Director of the Urban Department Agency, this is a forward-looking book that is worth for all of us to read, think and respect, the book has generalized the key areas and evaluation of the comprehensive impacts of the 4th industrial revolution.

Prof.Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh is the author of more than 100 articles published in national and international scientific journals. He is the author of many books, namely: Unemployment Perspectives and Solutions, IntechOpen published in 2017 in Croatia and the United Kingdom; Impact of industrial policies to improve the competitiveness of industrial enterprises,; Thinking of practical systems in Vietnam; Co-author of several international publications on human resource management.
