(Construction) - On July 16, at the Ministry of Construction, Minister Pham Hong Ha had worked with the Minister of Foreign Affairs (also as Minister of Foreign Trade of Latvia) Edgars Rinkevics.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Pham Hong Ha expressed his pleasure to welcome Minister Edgars Rinkevics and other members of Latvia visited and worked with the Ministry of Construction of Viet Nam.
Taking this chance, Minister Pham Hong Ha introduced the functions and tasks of the Ministry of Construction in accordance with the regulations of the Government of Vietnam and said that in order to fulfill its role, the Ministry of Construction always expects to expand cooperation with partners, governments, relevant agencies of many countries, including the Republic of Latvia.
Thanks to Minister Pham Hong Ha, Minister Edgars Rinkevics said that Latvia is one of the countries with science technology development, especially energy saving technology, wood processing in construction which wish to expand cooperation with Vietnamese partners, including Ministry of Construction.
Finally, Minister Pham Hong Ha assigned the Department of Legislation as the focal unit with the Department of Science, Technology and Environment to coordinate with other units within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Latvia in Vietnam to build specific cooperation programs between the two parties in the coming time.
