(Construction) - On December 3 in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Dinh Toan chaired the appraisal meeting of the Van Giang Urban Planning, Hung Yen province until 2040, with a vision to 2050. Deputy Minister Nguyen Dinh Toan chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, the consultant unit gave an overview of Van Giang's current situation as well as the contents of the Van Giang urban planning task. Commenting on this, Deputy Minister Nguyen Dinh Toan noted that the consulting unit should continue to improve the General Planning Task as a basis for Van Giang's urban planning and development. The study of Van Giang urban area must assess the current situation of spatial development in the existing Van Giang, Ecopark urban area and rural residential areas which following the trend of urbanization.
Van Giang is a bright spot that attracts people from the capital of Hanoi, young people from provinces. This is an opportunity for Hung Yen in general and Van Giang in particular to increase the urbanization rate from the current 35% to 50-55% by 2030.
Finally, Deputy Minister Nguyen Dinh Toan emphasized: “The leadership of Hung Yen province needs to proactively control Van Giang's urban planning which not allow investors dominate it. Van Giang thrives to the north and southeast, taking advantage of the economic opportunity east of Hanoi capital to Hai Duong - Hai Phong…”.
